The Gift

riverchurch supports ministry outreach to low income families and individuals living in Tonbridge suffering hardship providing food parcels to those who have been referred to The Gift by our professional contacts in the locality e.g. CRI, Mental Health Teams, Porchlight.

‘Giving support and encouraging hope’

Last Christmas, working with referrals from our professional community contacts we provided over 140 hampers to local families and individuals suffering some form of hardship.  We are so grateful to Christ Church, Tonbridge who created some space for us to store food and make up the hampers. Most of the hampers were collected at the Christ Church cafe where we had the opportunity to chat and offer refreshments. Also, we are thankful to Barclays who helped collect food, and staff who assisted with the packing of food hampers. And finally, thanks to LokNStore Tonbridge who gave us a unit free of charge to store the bulk of the food required for these hampers.

We continue to welcome contributions towards food parcels, of any of the following items, which can be brought to church, or if at other times please call 0845 519 763.
